Product Description

PLR6430: Unleash Wireless Excellence

Data-Linc introduced the serial and I/O Plantlinc Family for short-range in-plant to medium-range installations, in direct response to customer requests for a modem that could replace less reliable technologies with the same robust and reliable FHSS (Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum) data transfer method as our premium  CIX family, but at a lower, more competitive price.

As a license-free radio modem operating in the 900 MHz spectrum, PLR6430 redefines the possibilities of wireless data communication – it boasts impeccable reliability, unparalleled versatility, and exceptional performance.

Seamless I/O Integration with CIX Communication

Data-Linc Group envisioned the Communication Interface to I/O EXtender (CIX) System to deliver cost-effective, industrial-grade wireless modems. This system seamlessly interfaces with I/O devices, with the PLR6430 serving as a standout medium-range FHSS (Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum) radio. Its digital and analog inputs and outputs form a bridge to efficient wireless communication.

Versatile Functionality at Your Fingertips

The PLR6430 isn’t just a radio modem; it’s a solution. Whether you’re seeking I/O to I/O data exchange or a Protocol to I/O solution, this versatile device shines. Simply incorporate the PLR6430 I/O units at remote sites alongside the PLR6435 protocol radio as Master (Refer to the PLR6400 System for detailed protocol to I/O insights).

Configuration Made Effortless

Experience the flexibility of the PLR6430 with a range of configurations: Master, Repeater, Remote, or Repeater/Remote. Seamlessly configure it through the user-friendly CIX-IOTM software tool via the RS-232 port. Unlock the potential of a wireless network in an I/O to I/O solution, seamlessly sharing data between the Master radio and up to eight Remotes. The network supports a maximum of 24 signals, strategically distributed across 8 discrete inputs, 8 discrete outputs, 4 analog inputs, and 4 analog outputs.

Unveiling the Power of Simplicity

The most significant advantage of employing radios with I/O device connections is the sheer simplicity they offer. When remote intelligence isn’t required, I/O interface radios provide a direct path to interconnecting devices, with 24 points per I/O to the I/O network. This stands in contrast to the 384 points seen in the Protocol to I/O system.

Reliable Communication, Even in Challenging Environments

Experience communication with strength and resilience. While communication is inherently robust and reliable, the PLR6430 stands prepared for any eventuality. In case of a communication failure, both discrete and analog outputs can be individually pre-configured to default to a secure state.

Unveil the Future with PLR6430

The PLR6430 isn’t just a radio modem; it’s a gateway to seamless connectivity. With a remarkable range of 25+ miles, with line-of-sight, it’s prepared for point-to-point and point-to-multipoint applications. Your wireless future starts here. Embrace the future with the PLR6430.
