Our wire modem speeds range from 1200 baud up to 19.2 Kbaud depending upon the lines and type of modem used. Our license-free wireless modems support uncompressed data rates up to 115.2 Kbaud and boast an exceptional response time (turnaround delay) capability of 5-15 milliseconds. Using OFDM technology, our FastLinc modems support speed up to 54Mbps even in the 900MHz band. The FHSS and OFDM technologies utilized by Data-Linc Group ensure high performance and have set the license-free wireless modem performance standard for robust industrial data communications, providing a range capability of 25+ miles line-of-site and well over 100 miles with Repeaters when operating in the 902-928 MHz. Ranges for our 2.4-2.4835 GHz band products offer 10 milie range with omni antennas and direct line of site, and exceptionally long distances when high-gain antennas and Repeater are employed. Multiple pairs used in close proximity operate without any interference problems and the transceivers can be configured as Repeaters for multiples of the range capability– ideal features of an industrial automation solution for your toughest SCADA applications.Data-Linc wireless modems transmit data 25+ miles with omni antennas, farther with high-gain antennas and/or Repeaters. When line-of-sight cannot be obtained, for example, there is no need to seek another vendor— Data-Linc also offers wire modems. Data-Linc wire modems also offer exception performance transmitting data up to 20,000 feet (6.1 km) on two wire and up to 40,000 feet (12.2 km) on four wire lines; up to 20 miles on unloaded lines, unlimited for loaded lines and dial-up applications.
Data-Linc utilizes only the most robust data communications technologies to provide exceptional resistance to potential data communications problems. This includes advanced Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS) , OFDM (Orthoganol Frequency Division Multiplexing) and Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum 802.11b/g technologies for license-free wireless data transmission, as well as FSK (Frequency Shift Key) technology for data communications on any two conductor wire. Data-Linc specialty modems can superimpose data on active AC/DC power lines, in-company PBX telephone wires or instrumentation lines without interfering with simultaneous transmission of power, voice or instrumentation signals. Data can also be transmitted over sliding contacts, slip rings, rolling wheels, brushes, shoes, and the like. Our products provides point-to-point and multi-tier, multi-drop data communications and polling/addressing.
