Product Description

License-free, wireless, high-speed HSM240E-SD modem offers unique, user-friendly features to increase efficiency & security in the 2.4GHz band. The premium, top-of-the-line modem offers node-to-node deterministic mesh network repeatability allowing greater range and multiple channel spacing options for increased network scalability, reliability & the reduced threat of signal loss.

DATA-LINC GROUP’s HSM240E-SD, the Swiss Army knives of modem is a three-in-one solution, as it can simultaneously transfer data via Ethernet, serial, & digital I/O. In addition to this flexibility, the HSM also supports standard Wi-Fi communication with selectable RF speeds up to the 54Mbps in the standard mode for point-to-point and point-to-multipoint communication, and using turbo mode, can achieve speeds up to 108Mbps. In high RF noise or crowded bands, the user can set the modems to ignore those bands to maintain data integrity.

The modem is backward compatible with its legacy version HSM800Es & offers 630mW power for ranges up to 9 miles with clear LOS (line-of-sight). It is capable of operating in access point/client configuration mode, & function as a network bridge/router or act as a serial server (RS-232/RS-485).

Additionally, HSM’s integrated Modbus® protocol simplifies its integration with any other Modbus RTU/TCP device to decrease cost by reducing the components and cables needed for the integration. This capability also gives the user the opportunity to expand the function of the single digital I/O port by using any third-party Modbus devices in a virtually seamless deployment.

HSM240E- SD’s powerful over-air network diagnostics and configuration is designed for band-intensive applications used for IoT, Big Data, and Industry 4.0. Other key features include MAC and IP address filtering and VLAN tagging that separate traffic for bridging and routing modes.
