Data Communication Solutions for Traffic Management

Making Hybrid Systems Work
The CCS9000 was designed for optimal compatibility and connectivity. Any remote device with an asynchronous serial port can communicate to a Master computer through the CCS9000. Connections can be established over any communication medium or combination of paths—wireless, dial-up, leased line or private wire.

Wireless communication to remote locations can exceed 35 miles, utilizing a simple, omni directional antenna with line-of-site, and farther with Repeaters. Distance to remote locations via dial-up, leased line or private wire communications is virtually unlimited.

The CCS Remote modem data switches have four, address selectable RS232 ports. The CCS9000 will allow connectivity with multi-vendor remote devices, such as loop detectors, to a single modem/ multi-port smart switch. Once the connection is established, the system is transparent to the vendor software.

Making the Connection
The CCS9000 employs an addressable Remote modem/multi-port smart switch and a Master computer running Data-Linc Group’s Traffic Connections^TM software.

Traffic Connections is a Windows^®-based software program that provides destination selection and connection commands for the CCS9000 hardware. With a simple point and click, Traffic Connections automatically establishes communications— at the desired baud rate and through the required path to the designated device.

• Easily troubleshoot, control or reprogram remote equipment from any centralized location.
• Interface with video systems for visual monitoring or logging.
• Communicate via a wire or wireless device or any multi-vendor communications device with an asynchronous serial port.
• Point-and-click with Traffic Connections software that simplifies connectivity, establishing communications automatically.
